Do you have to have the whole ignition in order to have the cap....
Cause there is an extra spark plug wire....Any help? Thanx

 

that extra hole is for an external coil. most honda distributors, atleast for the ef, have an internal coil. thats all i really know about the subject, but i think the cap will work without the external coil. but there really isnt any point to having it then.

 

yup...you need the cap and external coil, at least.

 

Your best bet is to wait on installing the cap untill you can get the external coil, and if money persists something to manage the system, that is where you will have the best results. But even just switching to external will be a good move imo
