CAR DIED WHILE DRIVING!!!! HELP?
Hey guys I was driving to work this morning and i hit this bump then my car died. my gauges all went to 0, my Tachometer went immediately went to 0 but my speedo was still working, i tried gassing the car and it had no power when the car's speed went to 0 everything died so i rolled it to the side of the road and restarted it, the car ran. My car did the same exact thing on Sunday. It scared the crap outta me. But it was just the rotor coming loose in the dizzy. Sometimes that little screw gets loose after time. Check that out.

take the distributor cap off and you will see the rotor. It will be obvious if it came loose as it will just be hanging loosely or the screw will be completely off. It should have a small screw on the side of it. If you dont immediately see it, have it spin by cranking the motor until its facing you
just bump the motor. dont crank it. bumping means to turn the key to the start position (for a split second) until you hear it start to turn over and immediately let go of the key.
if you can just pull the rotor off, the the screw fell out. take thed dust cover off and find the screw in the dist.
