88 rear strut bushing
does anyone know if an aftermarket company makes the rear strut bushing? preferably in poly.
i ordered the energy suspension master kit and it only came with the 89-91 rear strut bushings, i had to torch my old bushings to get the bolt out.
called a local auto parts company and they thought it may be dealer only. so if anyone has info please let me know.
thanks

That's because you're not suppose to remove the bushings in the struts only the lower controls arms but with the 88's they have open eyelet lower control arms so there's no bushings to replace.
You were NOT suppose to remove the bushing in the strut....period. The struts die LONG before their bushings do. Unless you can find a bushing that was designed for something else but fits your strut then you are probably going to be buying a new strut.
good luck.

Damn tyson hooked your *** up on that one. I bet he has a big test time on his desk top with like 100 links just to sling out to all the HT members on every possible aspect of honda. Half of the **** he wrote him self. Anyway 88-91 CRX's have shocks not struts. Buy new koni shocks, and if you switch the LCA's you will probably be able to get a better deal on the rear shocks. The 88's arent as popular so no one wants to cut the price on them. you can even sell your LCA's to some one so they can run some kinda jaydm ****.
well actually i bought new tokico illuminas a while back for my 88, then i bought a 90 chassis. so what i did was find a 88 rear control arm from a wrecked 88 crx si which came with the sway bar.
the reason i wanted the 88 control arm was because i had already purchased the shock not knowing what the difference between the years was. so as we were removing the bolts, which were seized on there, we had no choice but to torch it out ruining the bushing in the process.
i havent even checked to see if the tokicos even came with bushings.
thanks for the link it will help out big time!
