Front Forks

Jack up the car and place on jackstands. Loosen the fork bolt (don't remove) that holds the shock in place. Jack up the fork, so the spring pushes the shock body further into the fork. When the shock sticks out the bottom, tighten the bolt again. Repeat on the other side, but get both even.
Or, just modify the top hats for more suspension travel. Or buy the GC extended top hats.

youre telling us you have omnipower coilovers and still not happy with your drop and are looking for extra ways to lower it? why am i not surprised...
i dont think the GC top hats will work for you. you would have to check the OD of the shock diameter to see if it will fit inside the top hat. if it doesnt fit, it does nothing for you.

The drop of the omni sports only let me go so far down in the frront with out letting the spriong loose. right now with the spring ont the chock with a lil preload i have a 2 finger gap and would like to have a no finger gap. so im baisically tryin to find a way to lower it a lil more
you.</TD></TR></TABLE>

yeah, i hear you. them omnipowers were not designed properly. thats a fact.
i think your best bet is to just give up the preload and start to lower the spring perch.
actually, i say just dump the omni's. theyre pretty worthless. thats just an opinion.

I wouldn't worry about preload, anyone with the Koni/GC combo doesn't have preload anyway, and they do fine.

I agree. Preload doesn't really do anything for you. If your really woried about it, you could get a set of helper spirngs & locator collars. Helper springs take up the slack when the suspension droops, but are totaly compressed when the car is on the ground...
Expect to pay about $200+

on a street car i agree 100%, but what people need to relize is that when we talk about preload not doing anything we are talking about a properly designed damper. Unlike the omnis that have EXTREMLY small area of piston travel. And what happens if you don't have preload on the omni's? you will run out of travel and bottom them out.

thats what im scared of if i lower the spring perch, bottomming out all the time. I think imma just lower the spring so to get my ride height and see how it is for a day or 2 sincce the roads are pretty smooth where i live.

Anyone ever cut springs while they were still loaded (and on the car?)... suspension removal trouble
