Default Autocross question

can u autocross using a one piece front fibeglass front end?? any specs on autocrossing? would like to start getting into it sooner or later... right now im using the car as a drag car.

Just drag racing or really any other kind of motorsports, there are rules regarding car prep for autocrossing. The SCCA sanctions many events, and a rulebook can be downloaded from their Web site: http://www.scca.com. Other clubs will have their own rules. He means you will have to run in prepared class since that is the class which allows you to run alternate body panels.

Best thing to do is grab the rulebook from the link above, see which class your car will fit, then go down to your local event and check out what cars people in that class are running.

yeh i clicked the link but im at work right now so ill have to check it out later... ok just wanted to make sure cuz i got a few fiberglass panels like the doors and sunroof, with lexan windows, with a full cage inside, running a b16a turbo. just wanted to see how fun it can be to serve the **** out of it on the track!

How stong is that fiberglass front end against a cone at, say, 50mph?

I've seen some flimsy fiberglass bodywork get majorly f'ed up from hitting cones at high speed. The strength and shape of the piece matters.
