Default EF hatch with b16a obd 0 swap vtec problem

hi everyone,

I have a EF with a b16a obd 0 in it. Its ran fine for a long *** time. it has msd, cams, pistons...internals ect ect...

suddenly vtec stopped working. when i hit 5,000rpm (chip) the motor bogs nasty. there is no cel, and no blinking from the ecu. i have over 90psi oil pressure at 5k rpm. i switched vtec solinoid and pressure switch, and it still dont work. my friend from premier motorworks thinks its the ecu. but again, no cel, no blinking, and plenty oil pressure. i upped the fuel pressure too, nothing works. any ideas? oh yeah, i checked timing too, that was on too

btw, i did continuity test on the wiring and everything is fine from the ecu harness to the vtec sol. any ideas?

try swapping to an unchipped pw0 or pr3 see if it helps

does sound like ecu problems

theres a chance i might go out to moreno valley today to pick up sum parts...if walnut is close by, i got an extra pr3 u can use to test ...have u tried grounding the pressure switch to the chassis?

how funny, i was in mo val today haha day street furniture row.

what does grounding the pressure switch do? i put a new one.

i found one wire last night going to the injector resistor, it got sheered between the nitrous plumbing and the strut tower bar. i fixed that, now when i hit 5k rpm, the car keeps driving like normal, no vtec, but doesnt bog nasty anymore.

but now i have cel, and its code 6, i checked the coolant switch on the block and on the head, they both work.

If the ECU swap roves fruitless...consider the Vtec solenoid...I have heard of them failing at times.
