Questions on my 94 Sol
Hey im new here.....had two questions. First, my cv boots are both slit and they don't click. Should i replace them anyways or just the boots? Second, I was looking at cross drilled and slotted rotors. They go for 95 bucks shipped on eBay and are brembos. Since im up in Quebec (Canada) for college), the temperature difference here is pretty bad. Goes from 30 Celsius during summer to 40 below during the winter. Would the rotors crack due to the drilling and the temperature differences? For the record i have a 1994 Del Sol with a B16A3 engine. Also, where can i get the 4th and 5th gear from a LS tranny? Thanks a bunch.
You should take off the old CV boots and clean up all the sand and dirt from your CV joints, and repack them with bearing grease and put new boots on.
No cross drilled rotors wont crack due to temp changes.
and you can get LS gears out of a LS tranny might as well buy a whole B18A orB tranny since I doubt anyone will let you just take some gears.
LS tranny's are cheap.
Goodluck.
