Default EP3 Shift **** on 2004 ex

The oem shift **** on the 2001-2005 civic si should be a direct fit for the 01-05 civic right? i have a 2004 civic ex. Also does anyone know what jdm shift boots would be a direct fit for a 2004 ex?

YES, it is a direct fit. The 2002+ Civic SI's **** clips in directly into the 01 Civic coupe and sedans. I speak from experience.

also, does anybody know a nice set of jdm shift boot that would fit an 04 ex manual with the si ****? i would also like it to be connected the ****, not hanging on the shifter rod like i have seen on some cars.

when you get the JDM shift ****, get the clip too. There is a 2004 civic shift boot on http://www.redlinegoods.com that you can get in any color leather with any color stitching. I have one and they are pretty nice. zip lock the boot to the new clip and install it. It's not too hard.

its not a jdm shift ****, its the oem shift **** off of the usdm si/ep3. Would it clip to any boot that i buy? and i didn't want to get a knock off boot unless i have too, i was wondering if a jdm ctr or itr boot would work.

To reconfirm, the EP3 **** will screw onto the shifter and the clip clips into the collar of the shift boot. As for the JDM shift boot (red stitching) you will need to use a DC5R shift boot, but it does not come with a collar to clip into. Instead you can cut of the clip portion of the shift ****.

Nope, there's no clip collar.

what about this one...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

It has the plastic ring at the top. Is that what the clips on the bottom of the **** connect to in order to have to boot stay up?

Here is a link to the insall.
http://www.redlinegoods.com/Civic04install.shtm

You just need to lock-tie the plastic part to the boot. If you want a new boot, I recomend redlinegoods.com shift boots - they are real leather and made to factory spec.
