brake grind need help ASAP
Just took off rotors to turn them to reduce some of the shake during brakeing.... got that all done and now the driver side caliper bracket grinds on the outside portion of the rotor when i turn right.... right now as i await some responses i am removing the caliper and the bracket to see if i can find something...
nvm i figured it out.... one of the bolts holding the wheel bearing was stripped and didn't go all the way in..... i hate cars!!!
You would be suprised to see how many folks that take these things all the way apart to do a bearing or hub change put the hub bolts and the caliper bolts backwards and wonder why the wheel wont turn, the longer bolt was put into the caliper and went all the way through and was torqued down tight locking the freshly turned rotor. When they give it more gas trying to drive away they gouge the fresh rotor and it still takes them a few head scratches to figure it out, damn Honda for not putting matching bolts in these two areas.
Just to throw in another screw scenario after rebuilding a distributor make sure you get the very short screws back into the ignition coil terminals or you will be buying a new coil too.

Well IMO honda is Th3 G4y for designing the brakes the way they did... makes it a PITA to do the brakes.... I don't like it and it is causing me much trouble...
