Default do i need extended studs?

Well i have an eg hatch. I'm getting gt3's (i like them idc if you do). Do I need extended studs? Also is it stupid to put extended lug nuts on regular studs? (i got some for free) Thanks

Edit: I meant need in the title.

Personally my EJ will be wide body with ARP extended wheel studs and wheel spacers for a wider track. But remember you usually have to run open-end lugs when using extended studs. Honda sells some of these but I forgot the PN off hand. Usually most parts stores will have or at least be able to get them for you. Sorry I couldn't be of any assistance on the question. Just my input though, the face of the wheel would have to be pretty thick or like I'm running wheel spacers, in order to require entended wheel studs..

you don't need them, make sure you get a good tapered lug nut, not the acorn one like OE

Actually OE Honda lugnuts are a ball seat where as most aftermarket wheels take an conical seat or "acorn" lugnut.

Shouldn't you be more concerned with your dead friend?
