Default Swap Question

I have a D16 Vtec Del Sol, My buddy just crashed his B16 Sol, His Sol is now in my possesion.

Will I need any aftermarket parts or anything other then what is in his car to put the B16 into my SOHC sol?

I'm going to do the water pump and timing belt while its out, but I didn't know If i need any other shift linkage and the like that I couldn't get from the donor car, I think it will just bolt up seeings how everything is there. Thanks in advance

you'll need the the b16 shift linkage. i'd swap fuel pumps as well, and of course you'll need the ecu. don't forget to wire up the knock sensor too. the gauge cluster also shows higher redline. you can swap speedos to keep the correct milage.

The motor is already to drop in. You will need his shift linkage. Then you'll need to run a P30 ECU and wire up the knock sensor. Or you can chip your P28 and don't have to wire up a knock sensor.

so even though mine has vtec it doesn't have the nock sensor wire run already?

I have the SOHC vtec in mine so I figured that the wire would already be run for it. Oh and do I have to change the wireing harness over completely or will the one thats in the car work if i just run the nock sensor line?

I know there probibly stupid questions but this is my first swap, so I wanna do it write.

I'm pretty sure there is no knock sensor on a 92-95 SOHC Vtec. I am pretty sure if you take his motor with engine harness you shouldn't have to wire it up cause you will already have the DOHC Vtec harness and all you have to do is plug it in to the sub-harness.

But there's no knock sensor wire running from the shock tower to the ECU. He'll need to run that.
