take the spark plug out and put the wire on and hold it to a wrench or something and have a friend crank the motor over u should see spark if your getting any. since motor turns over then batt has enough power to turn the starter. Tighten your belt anyways. Are you sure your fuel pump is priming?

listen for the fuel pump when you turn your key on. it should humm for a few seconds. to test spark pull the plug out put it in the wire and hold the plug on a ground on your motor chasis etc. then turn the car over and you should se the spark. careful dont get your hand close to the plug.
