Default gsr and b16 header interchangeable

ok my friend sold me a dc 4-1 header w/ 2" collector for 100$ it will be going in my 00si. an i dont know if the header is for a gsr or a b16...or are the interchangeable UNLIKE the intake manifolds. also if i decide to use this header my friends dad builds headers soo would it be worth it to bug him to make that a 2.5 inch collector?

all b series headers fit all the b series heads, the only question left is whether it will reach or not reach your cat.

Well, technically speaking, all B-series headers will bolt to all B-series heads (except for maybe that the bastard Prelude Si B20...), the problem is the B16 has a shorter deck height than the B18/B20, and B16B (which is really a B18C block with a B16 crank), so a B16 header doesn't usually clear the oil pan very well.

But in your case you are going the opposite way, and trying to put a long (B18) header on a B16, you will have extra clearance between the pan and header. Good for pan clearance, BAD for ground clearacance...

The 4-1 headers are bad for ground clearance already, and if you make it another ~10mm lower because of the B16, then you better hope your car is riding stock ride height...

Hope that helped some...

Also, I would prolly leave the collector at 2" unless you have some beefy mods to the B16, because going too big on the small motor is going to really drop your low and mid range torque, or lack thereof... if you are driving on the street/daily driver, I would keep it 2", drag/track car maybe go to 2.5"
