Well, I got a new car and the previous owner said he filled the tires with nitrogen. Is it alright to fill tehm with air the next time they need it, ot should I stick with the nitrogen? Thanks.
From what I've read the advantage to using nitrogen is it is moisture free so you won't experience fluctuations in tire pressure with temperature changes.

that is correct i am a jet mechanic and we service teh tires with nitroen due to teh fact teh teh pressure will not fluctuate as well as not have moisture build up as well.....is it worth it on a street car...no it isnt.... jsut use good ol COmpressor air

I prefer an 80% nitrogen mix, it's alot cheaper.

It doesn't matter. The real advantage of N2 inflation is to reduce oxidation of the cord-rubber bond in the tire carcass when the gas leaks past the inner liner.

All gasses increase pressure with an increase in temp. Nitrogen is not imune to this. Aircraft use nitrogen to decrease the chances of fire when a tire blows. But, it does sound cool to say my tires are inflated with nitrogen.
alot of round track people do it, to keep the tire pressure from rising and causing the car to get loose, halfway threw the race.O and i am talking about 1/4,3/8,and 1/4 mile tracks, were you don't have pit stops. But as far as everyday use, i don't know how it would act on an everyday basis.
