Im currently running Hawk Ceramic pads, and Ive smoked them a few times and they dont seem to have an issue with fade as much as the stockers did. They are quite a bit more resistant to heating up, Im quite pleased with them. The only thing that kinda sucks is the brake dust and squeeking is more frequent but if you wash every other week its no worse then the stockers imo. There were $75 bucks from the Tire Rack, I got them the next day that I ordered them and I paid for regular shipping too...

The proper brake pads to choose will depend on your application. What do you do with the car, and what are you looking to achieve with these pads? Daily driving? Autocross? HPDE?

I haven't been impressed with Honda brake pads for the price, except for their slow wear rate and minimal dusting. As far as bite and fade resistance go, they're really lacking. However, they do make excellent daily driver pads if you can deal with the lack of bite.

Pads I've used:

Honda
AEM
EBC Greenstuff
Axxis Metal Master
Axxis Ultimate
Hawk HP+
Cobalt GT Sport
Cobalt Spec B (track only)

I've been most impressed with the Cobalt GT Sports, with the Axxis Ultimates being a close second (and a bit cheaper). These two are pretty much the best "street" pads you can buy as far as performance goes. They do dust excessively though, and occasionally make a little noise.
