Okay now forget everything he just said.

Cause NO (USDM) CRX came with d16 in it (1g ).

Yes d16a1 is from 86-89 Integra. For a straight drop in you want to use 86-87 due to the distributor (dizzy) being different.

You want to use the Integra Tranny cause you can use the intermediate shaft and lifes just easier .

otherwise I believe you can use the Si tranny but it will require switching over flywheel and clutch assembly.

You need to use certain bracket on the engien I believe it is just the tranny bracket to get the d16a1 to fit.

After that things just bolt in.

You will need Integra front steering knuckles.

Also I got a bunch of stuff for sale for 1g CRX that was going to have a d16a1 in it. Same exact swap except mine was a 85 CRX DX converted to fuel injection.

haha I got the whole entire swap with ecu and a bunch of new parts for sale right now.

Just about every gasket was replaced, new headgasket, new headbolts, new clutch assembly (pp, to), supposedly good tranny, new axles, new water pump, timing belt.

haha just to let you know i got everything you need for the swap. Letting everything go for 150 thats how much just the axles costed. Otherwise throw me an offer

.... okay now that I am done with the sales pitch.....

So you still need to get one or you have one?

If you jsut need your car to get running throw a d15(uh the Si one ) in there and it will be straight forward.

Otherwise this will take a little bit of time and knowledge to get it in there.

well the engine in the car now (the d15) has a cracked block and id rather take advantage and put something in there with a lil more power instead of replacing the old one. i know very little about crx's but ive been doing all the research i can and i think the d16 is within my ability, and yes i still need one. and what do i need from the teg to make it pass smog?

Nope the d16a6 is from a 88-91 CRX/Civic SI/EX. They are 1.6 MPFI SOHC

the d16a1 is a in a league of its own. Its the oddball. It comes from the 1st Integra. 2nd gen Integras came out with the b18a1's and the b17a (in the 92-93 GSR). Other ones in different countries but since we are in the USA thats all I am referring too.

The d16a1 is 1.6 MPFI DOHC it has different mounting points if you get the 86-87 it will come vacuum advance for the dizzy and if you get the 88-89 the wiring is similar to knewer cars cause it is electronically advanced.

The d16a1 is commonly swapped into 84-87 CRX/Civics. Since its pretty much a drop in besides like one or two brackets. These are old cars. I highly recommend getting gaskets throughout the motor. Gaskets get old and dry out.

the d16a1 from the 86-87 Integra came with 108 hp (I think)
88-89 Integra came with 118 hp.

Not to bad in a 1900 lbs car with full interior.
