What compression do you figure you have using a B18b block, B16a2 head, GSR crank and rods with PCT pistons?

i like the setup, the CTR pistons will raise the compression, but the GSR rods and crank will lower it a bit. I know with that kind of bottom end work and head work, as long as you have good tuning you should be able to take it to 9K+! My only real advice is that if you can afford it..... buy an Ostrich fuel management setup and tune it with that and a laptop, instead of a VAFC. I'd consider myself an awesome tuner with the AFC but you can't change timing maps with it. Ostrich setup is only $200.00

Am I missing something, I'm sorry if I'm oblivious, but....
So how exactly does this make an "LS" Vtec without LS Rods and Crank?

Please explain to me why he needs better rods. Look at the motor in my sig. It is over 240whp and I have stock Type R rods. Nothing wrong with his rods. They handle over 300whp in stock short block turbo charged configuration. Don't just state things for the sake of stating them. YOUR rods will be more than adequate for this application.

So if you put an 89mm crank in a GSR block do you call it an LS???? Or if I put a 95mm Crank in my B18C is it no longer a B18C. You always predicate the motor off of what the engine code says. It is an LS block therefore he has to run an external oil line to the head for VTEC operation therefore it is an LS-VTEC motor. This place is making me cranky lately.
