Default the fast idle valve

the fast idle valve

does that plug into the DPFI tandum control wires and not messed with at ECU?

just cut the tandom plug off and solder on fast idle plug? or do i even need it for MPFI swap?

You don't NEED a FITV valve period; however, by removing it you will need to plug some coolant lines and you won't get that "high idle when you start your car in the cold" thing. I'm not familiar with the DPFI, but I recently removed mine on my b-series swap.

The part that has the black box around it is the FITV or fast idle thermo valve...it has a hose running to it from the thermostat.

Ok...the part highlighted in the picture is the FITV....the part on the BACK of the manifold which is NOT pictured is called the IACV and is necessary...but again, I'm not familiar with your conversion, but you WILL throw a code without it.

Haha...you feel like the guy in your avatar?

Sorry I can't help anymore man, I just completely ripped my mani out and the ONLY thing I had to keep that was actually attatched was the IACV. Hopefully someone else can chime in here and give you a hand.
