I'm getting a crank position sensor error on my b20b crx, HELP!
I'm finishing up my b20b crx swap, using a jdm b20b, a integra pr4 obd1 ecu, obd1 integra Distributer from the same car I got the ecu, I bought the jkobd obd0-1 conversion, including the plugnplay plugs that adapt the obd1 dist to the crx si obd0 harness. I got the engine running but it's throwing me a error code for the crank position sensor, my hanes manual says that that sensor is inside of the distributer, the idles very rough and constanly moving up and down, when I hit the gas and the enigne will bog out and die. I was messing around and unplugged my map sensor from the throttle body of the b20b, started it up and it seemed to run great, revved great, I even drove it a little around the yard, the only thing is then I get a code for the map and crank sensor but plug it back in and I get the same problems, just no map error code then. Any body know how I would fix this crank position sensor problem, could it be because my timing is off? or does it mean the sensor is just bad? What about the wierd idle and bogging out when I hook up the map? Please help ASAP.
p.s. -> I Still have the dist that came stock on the b20b, looks the same only there is just one big plug instead of two, but there are the same amount and color wires going to it, could I just cut the clips off of the teg dist and put them on my b20b dist and use that if the problem is a bad dist?

i dont konw what harness you used, but is you map and tps hooked up to the right ones? that can possably affect the throttle problem you having, wish i knew about the crank code fix? sorry and good luck
THe harness is the stock 89 crx si harness, no need to change it for a b20b swap, yes I'm sure that I have the TPS ans MAp hooked up to the right plugs, Although I am kind of confused about which map sensor to use because the crx has its map sensor on the firewall in the center and uses vacume hoses that go to the intake manifold to get it's reading but i don't have a place to hook the hose on my manifold. I'm pretty sure your supposed to use the one on the throttlebody anyways, but the b20b has it's map sensor located on the top of the throttle body, so i just unplugged the plug from the map on the firewall and plugged it into the map ontop of the b20b throttle body. I'm pretty sure that's how its supposed to go because I didn't get an error for the map sensor after that, only the crank sensor, but when i have the map hooked up the idle is all over the place and the engine boggs out when i give it gas. I'm not sure what to do.

did you clean out your idle air control valve? my iac went bad, it rev's up and down when its running with my map vacum is hooked up. when i un-plug it it runs just fine but i get codes??? dont ask me what they have to do with each other but its weird
I'll clean it, it's possible that it's dirty because when I first ran the car I didn't have quite everything hooked up yet and I forgot to cut off the injector resistor box at first since i'm using obd1/obd1 injectors and it ran so rich at first that my plugs got too dirty and the car wouldn't start, so it's possible othere sensors etc.. got dirty, I'll try it and let you guys know.

I think I might have an Idea now, not sure though. When I did the swap I converted it to obd1, I used the jkobd obd0-obd1 harness when I did this I had to hookup a 4 wire o2 sensor, on th o2 sensor there were 2 black wires, the instructions said to hook up a differen colored wire to each one but you can't tell them apart since there both black, I guess I'll switch the 2 black wires and see if that helps, not sure if that would have anyting to do with my problem, but worth a shot.
got most of the problems fixed, vacume hoses and such. still one problem though, it runs fine @ higher rpms but dies at idle or idle is very irratic, up down up down etc.. any ideas on what i could do to fix this?
p.s. o2 senosr wires made no difference.
