parting out B16a-how much list needs help!!!
lets start over. ill try my best. im a little stressed right now as i have no computer, phone, or ipod beacause i had a power surge at my ew place and lost everything. our local company is reinbusing me o its cool. to make matters worse my friend got shot and killed a week ago. only 16 years of age. and then my car. so here it is.
i had a b16a, first gen, put in my 1990 CRX Si and one year later after my distributor got messed up i took my car to the local Honda dealer. they did a head job, put the new distributor on and a new timing belt. they gave it back and two weeks later it was towed back. they didnt set the timing correctly and now one or two of the exhaust valves are bent. we already sorted things out and i get to sell off the complete engine. i need to know, in a breakdown, how much pieces go for and what can be sold together. i really just want to get rid of it. but i do want to make some money back. the motor was REALLY strong when it was in my car and that makes me sad its gone. i worked hard and treated it with all respect. oil every 2,500 miles, all scheduled maintainence, and so on. the tranny grinds in third, but what S1 doesnt? i will also be getting the integra half axles and the shift linkage is for sale as well. i really just need to know REASONABLE prices for each item...for example, how much would the tranny go for, the intake manifold, the injectors and so on. hopefully that was a little more clear, its just been a sad and long last week. oh and also what is unsalvageable because of the bent exhaust valves?

Dude… So what are you asking? Not to be a jerk, but try reading what you are posting before you post it. We all mess up and misspell from time to time, but I do not even get what is going on????
i understand exactly what he is saying...he is trying to figure out how much he should sell individual parts of his b16 for...he also wants to know what is still useable...but he is indirectly trying to post a f/s ad in this forum and that is not allowed..
but i will try to help you anyways...ur asking what might have gotten messed up when the valves got bent....pretty much just the valves are scrap everything else should technically still be good...unless a valve broke and marked one of the pistons....other than that the head just needs a valve job and u will be straight...just sell them for a price that YOU think is reasonable...if u think u might be pricing a bit high just add o.b.o by it...all u have to do is search around and see what the market is on each individual part so u can get an idea of what you should sell it for...hope that helps...

yeah man just take a look in the f/s threads here and look at what other people are selling similar setups for is you are unsure. You could jsut sell the head and im sure someone would want to buy taht off you quick, even with some bent valves. The bottom end might be a little harder to sell since most people would opt for a b18 then b16 bottom end. Dunno, jut sell waht you think its worth. Tranny will sell quick to.
yeah im just trying to figure out how much the head would go for, the tranny, the intake manifold, and so on. im not really trying to sell it just yet, just get answers. its been good comments. just need some ballpark prices...

well no matter what that head is gonna need a valve job and new valves...so its not really worth much...u said the tranny grinds as well so no one is gonna offer u a lot on that either...more than likely a synchro/s is/are shot and a rebuild kit is like 220.....how much do you really think u can make of a stock IM? 40 bux...
im just tellin u straight up facts...dont get mad cuz its not what you wanna hear...some of ur parts are broken and others need repair...u think ur gonna get top dollar for worthless ****..do your own ****** research if u think my replys are negative...its what u should have done in the first place

on a serious note your b16a (if its obd-0) is like 15-16 years old you might be able to get like 35-40% of what you put into it. If you don't like what you hear it might be in your best intrest to keep it and rebuild it.
