Default Help our R Brothers and Sisters in the Gulf Coast

I'd really like for us to set up a fund to be divided among H-T R owners hit from Katrina to help them and their families get back on their feet. I know it wouldn't be much compared to the damage sustained, but it would be something.

1. Who would be interested in donating if I/we set this up?
2. How can we get a list of ITR forum members that are in the New Orleans area (or other areas hit)?

I think this is a good idea but i think it may be wiser to donate to an established organization that is used to doing this. So many people need help, not just R owners. Donate to the Red Cross http://www.redcross.org/ or http://www.americares.org.. These people know how to get the money to the right people, and what to do with it..Nice idea to help though

Agreed. A well established non-profit organization is your best bet.

My fantasy football leauge agreed to donate the pot to Red Cross. $300-ish.

Just a heads up for Fantasy sports players out there, especially the losing ones.
