Default NPB - 12.0 @115mph - Stock block sohc, NO SLICKS!

I have been trying to hit this forever, finally did it at BOTI saturday with a hurt motor!

Setup:

Stock D16Y8 block
ARP headstuds
RC440's
ZEX 59300 cam
ACT Xtreme PP w/stock disc
5lb. lightened stock flywheel
Uberdata
Greddy TD04-15G @ 15 PSI of boost
OBX LSD
Stock axles
205/50-14 BFG G-force drag radials @ 12 psi

Race weight: 2070 lbs w/ me in it. (I weigh 170)

The motor had started smoking out of the valve cover breather the night before at the track because of leaning out in 4th. (fuel delivery problem).

It compression tested at 210-220-210-160 the morning of BOTI.

So, #4 was hurt, but I really wanted to run at BOTI so I did anyway. And it pulled some awesome times! Consistent 12.2's @ 114, and a couple 12.1's. And FINALLY a 12.0!! I am so happy!

Since I don't really care for the Y8, I am going to put a rebuilt stock Z6 in it and try for the 11.99 sec mark w/the Greddy kit and a stock block on drag radials.

This has been my goal for 2 years now, and it's so close I can taste it!

Very Impressive E.T. and MPH. Kick *** driving!!! That car is super light though, if you want to race Power Street you'd have to add 330lbs. of lead

Thanks guys.

The ducting dropped my IAT's at full boost from 145-150 degrees to 110-115 degrees. Ghetto, but it works.

BTW, my friends '94 DX coupe w/full interior, EX power doors, 205/50-14 drag radials, stock peg leg diff, and 18" wheels in back, which weighs 2300-2400 lbs ran a 12.7 @ 111mph on a stock block D16Z6 running 14psi on a .42/.48 T3 turbo. 60 foot was 2.0

Just goes to show 12's on a stock sohc w/drag radials are no problem, even if the car isn't superlight like mine.

Very impressive times w/ the greddy kit. Almost 11s...your almost there! How much power are you putting out @ 15psi?

It made 244hp and 225tq on a Mustang dyno at 15psi.

I would also like to know because my hatch is nowhere that light.
