Default H22A type S swap or Turbo kit?

Hello,

I have a 2000 Honda Accord Ex Coupe with an F23A in it. I would like to know if it would be cheaper to do an engine swap with an H22A S or to have a tubonetics turbo kit installed. Which would have more hp at the wheels and more benefits? I thought about doing a turbo kit because EVERYONE does an H22 swap. Would an F23 turbo be faster than someone with an H22 with cai, exhaust, etc? Thanks

i would thnk a tubo kit would be a little less expansive to install. the question is wether or not you want a naturally aspirated engine or now.

fyi, a turbo on the F23 will own a H22!
not to mention its cheaper and a hell a lot easier. u'll slap the **** out of a H22 at just 7psi on a drag kit. i bought my drag kit over 2 years ago for $2,000 shipped :D

with H22 ur still gonna feel slow, but u will be a lil faster then what u r now.

Yea, unless you start building up the H, you're not going to feel that great of a difference compared to a turbo kit. An H has 50 more hp than an F23, but the torque curve is relatively the same.

turbo will be faster, easier, and cheaper than a type s. if i could get a really good deal on a type s i'd do it but for the $1600-1700 ive spent so far i think i have a pretty damn solid turbo setup.

exactly. 9 psi and you're putting over 200hp to the wheels. not to mention a **** load more torque than an H22. H22 can't touch that.

Turbo is definately more bang for your buck. drag is currently selling their kits for $2950, not a bad price if you ask me considering it comes wither everything. b_ron did you get yours new?

If your looking for just some more punch out of your car, go with the H22 and bolt-ons. You will end up gaining roughly 65 more horsepower with bolt-ons and minor tuning over your stock motor, but if you want some crazy power the turbo kit is the way to go...

H22 - realiable power around 65hp increase
Turbo kit - A tad more unrealiable but larger power increase
