i have an 88 honda crx si
i need to find out how to take one of them off i got the one that you can unbolt really easy but the other one doesnt have any bolts going to ,well there is but the bolt is by the stick shift and my exhaust is covering it making it hard to get in there
is there any way i could get it off by the trany, and i did search this topic but only picked up that theres a pin i am suppose to knock of or some thing like that. just need more info on how to get it off.
thank you.

On the other half of the linkage, next to where you unbolted the first one with the 10 or 12mm bolt, there is a pin that needs to come out. To get to the pin you need to get the little ring off of it. Not 100% sure, but the ring might be behind a rubber bushing. Just expand the ring until it comes off. Then you will see the pin. I use a bolt of the same diameter and hammer it out. Then just pull the linkage towards the back and it's off.
Since it says you are from Burnsville you will not be able to just hammer it out.
You will most likely need air hammer. that is what I use on mine. I am from Minnesota also and the salt and snow like to attack or precious metal.

sledge hammer and 8mm punch..
or you can use the bolt you took out of the shift stabalizer..
have fun..
or you can search for "Bitch pin" and find alot of answers..
there are historically two hard to loosen items on a Civic/CRX the bitch pin and the crank pulley bolt. If you loosend them once you should be fine with everything else.

Sorry didn't even think about that. I'm from so cal. Never needed to use anything more than a hammer.

air hammer is easy to use but if you dont have one. take a punch remove the clip and then punch out the pin and then shift linkage will come out..
If you plan on removing the tranny then just unbolt the shifter stabilizer and the shifter and then when you pull the tranny out, use the correct punch and punch it out when its out from under the car. It sucks trying to hammer upwards under the car. Just be sure when your putting in the tranny/engine make sure that you put it on right side up, other wise it'll suck lol.

Its probly not a pin that your thinking of its not like thum tack pin.. do you see a Hole? Thats the pin, its round and Clyinder shapped.
It actully called a ROLL pin, and you need a ROLL pin PUNCH. to push it out.
Its hallow.

see #1 in the pic, you must firs pop that clip off. then you have to get a pin punch and drive the roll pin #28 out. IMHO get an pnumatic chissle and a pointed bit for it, MUCH easier than a hammer and punch
