I popped my hood tonight to check on my HIDs and now my hood will not shut...is there something wrong with the latch and is there any quick way to fix it? thanks

 

wd-40, all over the latching mechanism...good luck.

 

i used half the bottle and it still wont shut

 

try pushing the handle on the inside of the car back in. this problem sucks.

 

i pushed it as far back as it could go....i went to my shop today and my mechanic said the latch mechanism was bent so he fixed it and everything works....i have nothing but bad luck with this car....i bought it and 300 miles later the clutch goes...then i get into an accident because someone cuts into my lane and hits me (he paid for it)...then the mechanic who fixed the car didnt put new air valves in the tires so i keep losing air and didnt know why til i put water over the tire....my hood latch breaks a few weeks ago so i couldnt open the hood and now it is bent so i couldnt close the hood.....i get pulled over because my headlight went out as i was driving.....i really think i should sell this car

let me guess its an EBP

 

loosen the three bolts holding the latch and lift the latch alittle there should be some play. tighten and see if it fixes it.

 

that sucks man. i hope things turnaround for you and your car

 

my friends hood wouldnt shut, found out that a piece of rubber something was keeping it from shutting, look for any objects of course. other than that i dunno man, dont drive too fast, dont want to end up like tommy boy and david spade

wtf is that suppose to mean? i drive a ebp..no problems since..
