Default Seibon CF HT

Hey guys, i am in the market for a H-T right now and was wondering if anyone has any sort of info as far as quality fitment and things of that nature of the Seibon CF HT. Any pictures and opinions would be appreciated. I can't decide btw that or the OEM one as i dont want to pay 5500 for a Mugen one. Thanks!

seibon prob the best cf maker out there. there fitments n quality is crazy good ... thas y there so much money. but remeber cf hardtops are very easliy broken... i would go wit the mugen n spend the extra grand or wutever it is. but if your gonna go CF your deff. doing the best thing by gettin seibon

saw my friend's seibon cf hood, very very poor. fitment sucked and weaves were horrible. i have a VIS and the weaves are much better and fitment is excellent (many who have seen my hood have said this)

I've owned two ViS hoods and they were both extremely high quality. I recently saw a Seibon hood/lip on an S2K and I thought they were atleast as nice as the ViS stuff. I would definately like to see a $3500 product before I buy it though.

when it comes to seibon it's give and take...

however i've seen 2 tops first hand and they both fit very well and the weave wasn't bad

not the greatest quality in weave... (i've seen a mugen in person also) so i'm a little biased ... rofl.... but the weave on the seibon top seemed to be a better weave then their hoods...... i couldn't find any breaks in the weave or anything.. (but then again i wasn't going around it with a magnifying glass either)

if i get the CF HT would the gloss or the HT i guess get messed up? i dont know how to explain this. I use to have a VIS CF hood on my prelude and i guess from the sun or something the shine went away or the glossy look and it formed some sort of gunk on it that wouldn't come off completely. gunk as in looked like the glossy look was smudged and you barely could see the weaves or anything, as if the heat engine damaged the hood you konw? btw, i can see the Seibon CF HT before i buy it as a member is selling it brand new. I dont have much knowledge of weaves and things of that nature tho.

Mugen HT has a UV coating doesnt it?

My buddy's CF hood had the same clearcoat problem; we polished it down, waxed it up, and it looks brand new. System One polish

yea i did that many times and it went away for no more then 3 weeks. last time around, took it to a car wash taht does good job with things like this and they put everythign on it and it just didn't work after a year of that problem i guess it became permanent. I dont want to buy a CF HT and have a problem like that again.
