Idn about vis hoods or pricing, but you can check out the group buys and stuff. I think there's supposed to be like 3 different group buys on CF hoods and that should be a little bit cheaper for ya...

now if any of them are actually going to happen idn but thru these you can still get it a little cheaper...

I got mine (OEM style) for $499 shipped on groupbuycenter. It's fits perfectly, the clearcoat is very good and it's impregnated with a UV blocker to keep it from fading. I get nothing but compliments on it.

yes, i got one and i was surprised by the vis hood. the owner of vis told me that they spent lot of money to make this new cf hood. they are strong, u dont really need a hood pin as long as u have the hood liner in. i used my car one track event per month and drive on freeway 80-90mph everyday w/o hood pin, no prblem at all.

the weave doesn't look very consistent. Appears to be a lot of waves in it. Look at the close up of his head light. I don't think it's just the curve in the hood either. Is that normal on a CF hood? It's been months since I've looked at one (sold mine). Nice finish on it! Are the windshield washer squirter reliefs standard on those hoods?

EPIC Motorsports here in San Diego sells VIS hoods... if you don't want to drive up to VIS.

You should be fine w/an OEM style CF hood... a lot of my friends have had them for awhile now and they've all held up great.... just wax them every so often to keep the shine.

I did have one w/an inverted scoop and unfortunately it started to fog around the scoop... so i just sold it to someone down here for a good price. Just stick w/the OEM style and you should be fine.

i always wanted a fiber images hood but all my friends told me about vis...said they were so good...so i went and picked one up for 450 for my 97 civic ...i love it...it has all rolled smooth edges, carbon fiber underneath for like 10 inches back , very thick, heavy duty latch, and its fits awesome...i would highly recomend these hoods to anyone..also they make em for everything....they got the damn things for a lincoln navigator...good hoods.

idk not idn...

i know the quality of the vis hoods from about 2 years ago used to be not so hot... not sure if those were in house or imported from taiwan... but that was also 2 years ago and everyone now seems to be happy with their new VIS hoods...
