quick question about the oem kit
hi guys i just bought the oem kit and its got a thin strip of rubber trim on the back pieces and on the wing part of the side skirt, i have a white car and dont really want that black trim but then again i dont want to remove it and it not fit nicely, what do you guys do or have seen done. thanks in advance!
Personal opinion: just leave it on.
It protects the car. From far away, it looks like any other gap where two pieces of metal or plastic meet on you car anyway. Don't paint it because it will chip. Over time, when you wash the car, the paint will also flake off.

but, but, i really dont like it. do i have to leave it on?
well my options are leave it and it looks bad (in my opinion) paint it and its crack and look bad or what if i remove it? does anyone have pics of it with the trim or without?

If you take it off, you'll regret it later. The body kit pieces won't be flush up against the body anymore, and the panels will constantly smack up against the body, leaving scrapes and scratches.
If you really don't like it, use white-out correction tape.

white out? haha i had a friend who used to touch up his chips with white out. well i would leave it on but it makes it look like a seperate piece to much and from far it looks like it's not flush. i have some left over paint from when they did my bumpers, its got flex agent in it, do you think it would look bad without the clearcoat?
wow that looks really nice, the back looks molded in. is it or it so flush because of the rubber trim being painted, thats why i dont want to leave it black cause it will be very obvious tht its a seperate piece, since my cars white.
Yeah if it is done properly it will be fine painted. Our body shop painted mine and they have been fine for almost a year now...including our salt/sand ridden winter roads up here.
