I recently broke the female splines on the passenger side of the transmission where the axle slides into. The entire piece that holds the splines has dropped to the bottom of the casing. It stills goes into every gear but will not drive. The casing is also fine. I am not sure what the part that broke is called or connected to (I was told that its part of the differential).

Could someone please tell me what this is and how bad it isto fix. Hydro B16a Non-LSD Transmission is EG Hatch
