EK ex header on a cx/dx hatch???
hey, im wondering if anyone has ever put a ex exhaust manifold on a cx/dx/lx model before? im wondering if it will bolt right up to the b pipe past where the ex cat would normally be, being that the dx style has the cat built into the header. if anyone has ever done this to run without a cat...let me know. just curious. and please...no lectures about how i should just get a swap, and that a single will never make any power...or this and that...i know the deal
it will bolt but i think u will end up being catless??? cause on mine i have a header back exhast for my y7 then changed the header to the ex one and it bolted right up....but now im catless...
You would be catless IF your motor has the exhaust manifold mated to the cat. Otherwise, like me D15b7 LX, I would actually gain a few ponies since my cat is under the cabin like most cars.
If you do end up catless, just buy a generic one and bolt it up by the shifter under the car.
What motor are we talking about here?

i dont think it will...
i dont think it will...
It will throw a code. the secondary won't read the scrubbed air coming out of the cat so it will think the cat is bad. It shouldn't affect performance (unlike the primary) but it will throw a code.
youre going to throw a code, when you do check it and make sure you arent running extremely rich/lean... if you arent, id say run it for a tank of gas and see how you like it...
