Buying brake lines
I know this topic has been worn out. I did a search, but nothing came up... (is it me or does the search function not work very well on zeroforum?).
Anyway, I have to order brake lines. I'm looking at these: http://www.optauto.com/webstore/prod...k=yes&dept=859
Is there any reason I shouldn't? or something better? I like the covered lines, but dn't want to spend a fortune on them.
thanks

Well.... the car is being built as a track-only car... I just figured since I had to buy them (the hack that did the engine/suspension pull cut the lines) I'd get something better than stock.
I just went ahead and ordered the Goodridge lines... I know they'll work, they were in-stock and the others (russell) were backordered.
Chalk this up as another useless thread of mine.
thanks

I've had trouble with Russel lines in the past. The set I bought from Summit leaked like a sonofabitch on the front. Not surprisingly, they were cheaper than the alternative, Goodridge, which I eventually went with and had no problems at all.

I've had the Goodridge lines on my civic for 4 or 5 years without any problems. I probably have 30+ track events on them. I got them from of all places NOPI. They weren't terribly expensive and work great.
I keep seeing prices for $110+ for brake lines, my friend just called Auto Rage in Newnan, GA this past summer and got them for $55. I haven't ordered any yet, but i plan to this summer, when i do my brake upgrade.
