i dont know bout the cam but im thinkin they prolly arent cheap. If its more than $200 bucks you could easily get a swap. i see tons of low mileage sohc in wrecked cars at the junkyard motor and tranny for fwd cars are $150 here. just my .02

yes you can adjust the valves with the head still on the block. it's not hard if you have the right tools and know what you're doing. you never adjust them "indefinately". Chances are if you drive on one particular motor for a long period of time you will have to adjust them again. just out of curiosity, why would you want to readjust them after you already do it once??? doesn't make any sense.

Because if you drop in a new cam, you are going to break that cam in. This will tend to increase the valve clearance. So after the cam is broken in, it is necessary to readjust the valve clearance.

Weber cam? Weber makes carburetors. But I don't think they make cams. Do you perhaps mean WEB CAMS?

adjust them yourself. You will need a 12mm wrench, flathead screwdriver, and a feeler gauge. When you get the cam there should be something that tells u the clearances. I know mine for my b18a are .006 - .007 on ehaust side and .005 - .006 on the intake side. Yours WILL be diff though.
