Check out

The forced induction section of Honda-tech.

If you know a lot about what you're doing, build a kit yourself. If you don't, you should buy a ready-made kit that just has to be installed.

Im doing exactly what you are doing too.... some advice from a fellow d16y7 guy,
do a home made turbo kit... you will learn soo much in the process of looking for things.

Just for refrence though...

ball bearing turbos spool fast ebay... DO NOT BUY SSAUTOCHROME... try getting a Garrett T3
BMC Race turbo manifold go to bmcrace.com cheapest GOOD manifolds
blow off valve almost any blow off valve will do

Look up UBERDATA for engine management!!!!!

Just search everything bit by bit and you WILL learn a lot of things... you wont regret it in the end...... so far my complete turbo kit cost me about 800 bucks..... compared to 3000 bucks for a ready built kit

Why did you post your mileage in kilometers? You're profile says Missouri...?

Anyhow, I am in the process of preparing my y7 for the boost and I went with a used kit, a Drag gen 2 kit to be precise. This turned out to be a really good option, especially for those like me who do not have ready access to experienced shops who can do quality work, ie. custom-fabbed downpipes or charge pipes. You will need these pieces, although the charge pipes can be produced without welding if you cut corners. You certainly won't have the best looking setup around with your $900 DIY kit, but you can tell everyone you did it yourself, and that earns you way more respect in my book.

Oh, yeah. Make sure you set aside a large hunk of cash for management and tuning. I have a p28 that will be programmed with Crome engine management on a Dyno.

d16 is underrated......you can easily run 300 whp with the proper modifications and forced induction
