whats the difference on the sh motor?
whats the difference in the type-sh?
my block just freezed -- head is still good, but no shops willing just to sell me a block.i have to buy a complete longblock, is it worth getting the typesh motor(kinda pricey) ?

If you have a 5th Gen, I would suggest getting a JDM H22 and swapping all the OBDII parts off your current motor over to the JDM motor. I am guessing this only consists of the intake manifold and oil pump. There might be a few other parts but it should be too many more.
Once you make the JDM motor OBDII, part out the good parts from your current motor once your tear it apart.

The difference between the Base block and SH block is that the intermediate shaft from a Base won't fit an SH cause of the ATTS unit. Also, on the SH, the oil filter tilted upward and the Base sits straight
