I washed my car at car wash place. ANyhow Im going to pop the trunk open and it wont opened.. All I can hear the electric motor went whirring. Do anyone have problem open the trunk on the Integra? Please help

 

Yeah mine does the same, it would work every once in a while until it finally just quit all together. That motor has stripped gears i believe, and it retails for like $50-60 something. Im cheap so I just got used to using the key.

next time u get a chance to open it.. spray some lubricant on there and it should b ok...

 

Mine does the same thing. It started a couple of weeks ago. I just use the key now. Does anyone have a spare?

mine did the same too. people with tegs (98+) have that problem from what i've heard.

i just use my key haha. you turn the key and hold it till it pops, then yank the trunk

Now that I think about it, I actually had this problem on my 2000 ITR. For some reason the latch/locking mechinism got stuck. Sometimes the latch would get jammed after I opened the trunk and I couldnt get it closed again. Back then I was lazy and jsut took it to the dealer. 45 minutes and $70 it was fixed.

 

Mines busted also.

 

Mine is broken also. The part to fix it is $90 I think I will just use the key.

there should be a recall with this many problems.

yea on my 2000 PY it does the same thing. I just have a habit now of making sure the lock clicks back before closing it each time.... o well
