Hey peeps, got a 98 ex coupe and when i start to brake from high speeds, my steering wheel starts to shake really bad. It drives pretty straight and i just put new 03 si rims on it. Alignment? Balance? any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated.

 

To solve the problem go and have your rotors turned.

 

yeah get them resurfaced or get new ones.

 

Get new rotors and pads.

 

yeah man what they said i work at honda and i also have a 99 coupe and it does the same thing untill i got it resurfaced

 

any idea what brand? oem is probably out of my price range. Getting married in 4 weeks thanks to everyone for your answers.

mine does the same thing

brembo....they were cheaper than oem from honda

 

When you get the rotors turned be sure to re-torque the wheels. If you do torque them all the same, the hub/wheel are as one. If you just "pull till its tight" that can also make the hub wheel slightly warped. Which left that way will start the warped rotors shake all over again.

I had the same problem with my sol. I changed the rotors and brake pads, problem solved.
