Default tranny problem

I put a new motor in my car because the clutch went bad and that gave me a reason to go ahead and put a lower milage motor in it. I put in an exedy stage one clutch and put the same tranny back on it. (the clutch was actually gone to the point that the car wouldnt go into gear or move) I got it all put back togeather and the car would not go into 2nd, 4th or reverse. I pulled the tranny back off and checked to make sure the clutch was on right and i also bought another tranny that i for sure know was good. I put it all back togeather and i still have the same problem...any body know what the problem could be?? any help would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of engine/tranny did you have and what kind of engine did you buy? What clutch did you buy and for what application?

did you bleed your clutch? if its hydrolic? mayb you should try, doesnt hurt. Besides that the stage 1 is a bit heavier than the OEM, could messed up you worn clutch MC and slave, either or.
