Manifold swap Questions Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey I am having to put a new daily driven motor in my litt;e brothers car. His car is a 93 si and a friend gave us a stock 97 ex motor. His motor has 160,000 miles and the water pump is bad. So instead of just replacing the water pump I replaced the whole motor. But as i was putting it back together a friend told me to use the 97 ex Int. manifold. Said that it flows better and makes more power. Is this true? And if so what modifications are needed to make it work. I tried bolting it up, but there are some plugs on the 93 that arent there on the 97. Will I need those plugs and if sohow do I make them work? The motor is still out and right now it is no trouble to go either way.
the y8 (96 up ex) intake manifold is like the type r manifold for d-series motors. its worth putting it on. there is a detailed how to on another board i will dig it up for u l8r if u want and post it.
here is the post from the other mb http://pub34.ezboard.com/fhondadseri...icID=106.topic
hope this helps, that board is d-series only and there is alot of good info there so chk it out. i think the y8 manifold is definately worth it on a d-series.
