Coilovers for a 92
I am a new integra owner, its stock right now and I am wanting to install coilovers, but alot of people tell me if I do that I should replace the shocks as well is this a good idea?? Also what kind of coilover kits are good? Most people tell me skunk2, and I dont want to spend more than 350 on a set, so I was thinking about getting those. Also if anyone can post up some pictures of their DA integras that are lowered and let me know how much its dropped. Thanx a bunch
ground controls are the same price as skunks (pending deals), and are a better spring if you match them up with the correct shock. the downside is, they can be mated with konis for optimum performance, but then you spend A LOT on shocks.
In the end...
upgrade your shocks
Money spent wisely = Happier you

My gsr is lowered on Weapon*R Circuit Pro coilover (sleeves) and Koni Yellows. It's also got an Energy suspension bushing kit and a progress rear anti-roll bar. I paid $300 for the coilovers and $450 for the konis. It rides like it's on rails. When I turn right into a parking lot, if i'm going too fast, the rear wheel comes off the ground.. If I back up onto something with just one of the rear wheels, both come up.. If I pull onto something in the front, that whole side goes up. I have not ridden in a car as stiff as mine. If you want a stiff ride, this is one of the ways to go.
I personally don't think Weapon*R sells much worth buying, but I would buy this suspension over and over again. It was the only coilover kit I could find for $300 with keeper springs.
However, If you want a comfortable ride with upgraded performance, get Eibach's Pro-Kit.
If you just want to lower the car, and aren't as concerned with performance, get Eibach's Sportline.
And if you want to learn a ton about everything you're going to want to do to your car, go to Borders or whatever and buy Civic Duty, then you'll know all the questions you need to ask about everything.
There're pics of my gs-r at the link below.. that's with the coilvers set to their highest positions, if I recall correctly, I've never changed it.
