Default which would be better, and maybe cheaper? b20 or rebuild?

i have an old gsr motor in my hatch and its burning lots of oil. i dont even rev it past 3 grand anymore.. anyway, i was thinking about rebuilding it, but i know that the down time would be long. so i was thinking that swapping a b20 short block in would be cheaper and quicker. any opinions?

keep in mind, its a daily driver, not looking for crazy power or anything at all, just stock stuff really.
