I have a 1991 Accord LX. What does the green blinking "S" on the dashboard mean?

on your year/model, means you probably need to replace your tcm. try searching for this, it is a common problem amoung 4 gen accords.

 

u need to chk the code, then diagnose it before u start replacing parts and pissing money away ...

Depending on what year, the tranny controller either uses the "S" lamp or the "D" lamp the same way as the check-engine light. You can read the code pretty much the same way as you read CEL codes.

accord ex 1990 "S" lamp was flashing a month ago.
but it comes when I start the car and stays on for about half a mile and goes off. can anyone give a clue.

Does it have a trouble code stored?
