Default Question #1,938,392,938

Ok, so Igot the H (DC)/I (AEM)/E (Tanabe) and S2S2 cams. Now, is there any real advantage to swapping the following for better air flow:

1) TB
2) IM

Or is it the same to leave it "o natural"?

The hondata IM gasket seems to be very popular here if you don't want to spend a bunch of money. This will decrease intake temps. What other mods do you have? EMS? If you don't I'd recommend one and a good tune. Other than that get some seat time.

cool....ya EM is on the chop block too. I've also heard very different opinions on upgrading the fuel system. My mechanic said not to bother yet....The gasket really helps eh? ok I'll check that out.

Mod listing
IHE - see above
Pulleys - UR
Cap/Coil/wires - MSD
Clutch - S3 Clutchmasters

Stock intake manifold flows fine. The Hondata IM gasket is a good upgrade for reasons stated above. You could get your stock TB taper bored to 70mm and retain your stock butterfly. I did it and didn't noticed too much of a difference, but again, it's a cheap mod.

If your running S2S2's then you should at least upgrade your valvetrain if you haven't already. Get an EMS(I'd recommend Hondata but it's up to you), get it tuned up and your ready to rock 'n' roll

Done! sk2 dual vs and tianium retainers

What kinda difference can I expect with the Hondata? better whp, throttle response, better fuel economy (or worse)?

Hondata will produce many different results depending on what your goals are. It will smooth out the power curve, sometimes clean up the idle and various other things. I would also recommend the hondata as well.

1. Dats good.

2. Even out the A/F ratio, mpg shouldn't change too much(the difference would be running the cams without a tune and then getting a tune), whp should increase. Keep in mind, an EMS is only as good as its tune

Hondata, IMO, is the best bang for the buck and there are more tuners out there qualified to tune it compared to Neptune, Crome, Uber. When choosing a EMS, find out which shop you would use and ask what THEY use. If you buy Hondata and no one around you can tune it, it becomes useless.

haha...ask Big fat R what he thinks of his IM gasket..

EMS is your next step for sure. And White Rocket is soo right...find a good shop and ask what EMS they are most familiar with.
