Installing new Engine Mounts
Me and a friend are installing Spoon Engine Mounts into my JDM DC2 tonight, and we were wondering if you have to torque the nuts down in any special order when doing it? And also should we follow the factory torque settings?
Any tips/advice would be good other than the questions above

I would assume that as long as they are all tightened to proper Tq spec then sequence of installing the bolts does not matter.
I could be wrong, but doubt it

Hehe...don't scare the guy....
But there's no proper sequence. I liked putting the timing belt side on along with the transmission one so the motor is level....
Then struggle with the rear mount. Without a hoist, we were able to fish it out with some patience and profanities (more of the latter actually) with the help of a pry bar to tilt the motor towards the radiator. We used a pretty long *** extension and at least one U-joint to get to it though.

BS!
I helped/ watch my Friend do mine with out removing anything. He loosened the front top mounts to lower the engine a bit but that was all he needed to do it.

Your pics are down, so that doesnt count
. On a fully loaded engine bay like most ITRs its a struggle, I'm guessing you at least removed the intake arm to reach the 3 bolts for the mount.
Personally with a PS rack, the useless IM bracket on the back and the fact that the bolts for the mount itself thread down into the crossmember do not make it very accessable.

Man what a PITA that job is
Did the front 4 in about 45mins... Spent 3 hours swearing at the rear one
Highly unimpressed! It seemed impossible at first..
Got there in the end!
Cheers guys!

Yeah it feels 100% better than before, all the old ones were completely collapsed and seperated from the mounts inside..
There is still a tiny bit of movement, but some of it is a sticky throttle cable...
Still want an engine damper though

If that is the case, then maybe you should have choosen stiffer mounts ?

Nope, because i didnt want the added vibration
Im not planning to majorly mod this car, and the spoon mounts cost me basically the same as OE ones so all i have done is benefit

Its a pain in the ***, but you need som extensions, u joints, loosen the other mounts and jack the motor up on the back side so it tilts forward....... and its still a pain in the ***. I may do the Mugen mounts over the winter...
