Default difficult to install starter

I was thinking about installing the starter in my car, but I can pay a shop 100.00 to put it in. Is it difficult or is the install cheap enough to pay for. The car does not turn over at all, and the starter has a glowing spark when turning the key. The battery has power. The negative lead on the battery gets very hot and so does the starter. Nothing happens when the key is turned, it may crank once, very slowly. Any thoughts? Thanks. 5th gen prelude auto

Its real easy to do yourself...Its only 2 bolts holding it in place. Just disconnect your battery before taking your starter off. Before changing it, double check your battery, and make sure it pushing out enough voltage. AutoZone can do this for FREE

I did it on my 4th gen not really knowing anything about car repair. Save your money and do it on a hot afternoon with a cold beer.

Yes it is easy, save the $100 and buy a manual and install it yourself.
