Signs of a bad starter?
Obviousely, when it won't turn the engine over and you know you've got a solid 12v. But does it just give the typical dead battery click? All I'm getting is the click, and I know I'm at 12v. How typical is a bad starter on swaps? And it's only a '00. Seems like 3 years is a short life for a starter.
To really check your battery, YOu need to put a load on it. Bring it to a shop and have them check your battery. If is not your battery then check your starter cable for loose or bad connection. If everything is good then is your starter.
the battery is a brand new Odyssey 680. And I put it on the charger for a bit too make sure it had a good charge. So I'm assuming it's not my battery. Guess I'll triple check my connections and see if it isn't the starter.
Thanks

Sometimes you can tighten the power wire nut too tight, and cause the internals inside the starter to turn. I've done it before and it was very easy to fix. I took it to a friend of mine that works on starters and alternators. I recomend you do the same thing. Unless you have some knowledge on starter internals. Good luck, it sounds like the same deal I went threw.
