Default auto transmission compatability

stupid question, i searched but i think i suck at searching.. and you rarely ever see anybody talking about automatics here.

My d15 has an Auto Tranny in it.. the car im pulling the other d15 out of and rebuilding is manual..

will i be able to drop the d15 from the manual into the one that is automatic?

alrite, first of all what the hell is a b15 son? Are you talking about your d15 engine with automatic tranny? If you want to replace the automatic trannny with a 5speed, you have to run a 5speed pedal assembly, clutch cable, and install shift linkage in place of the slush box automatic shifter, not to mention run a 5speed dx ECU.

yeah you can use the manual engine as a build , just make sure you use the automatic intake manifold .

Just a dumb question for my own info, but why? I'm not doubting you, just wondering the difference. I'm sure it's blindingly obvious...

The automatic manifold has an EGR valve, while the manual manifold does not. If you run without EGR, youll start throwing codes.
