Default 02 sensor voltage/testing....

ok i was just wiring up my wideband... and my buddy cut the 4 wires to my 02 sensor.. and now i cant figure out with wire is wich (ground, ground, heater wire and 02 wire..) does anyone know how to test the wires to tell which one is wish 9 (with a multimeter)

wire colors wont help because its a swap wiring harnes that i got from Hasport

well if you're talking about the wires from the o2 sensor the black wires are your heater element green is ground and white is the signal.

thats the problem... i got under the car last night and these are the colors of the 4 wires...

orange with blue stripe
yellow with black stripe
green with white stripe
and a white wire....

Qfactor says what wire colors are normally attached to the sensor itself. Yours must be cut in the part that's attached to the car...

I can help you guess if nobody comes up with a wiring drawing for 2002...
Check these with a multimeter like this:

Yellow/black would be heater power from the main relay, because Honda traditionally uses that color. Make sure it gets battery voltage when the engine's running.

One of the other wires should have good continuity to ground all the time. That's your signal ground.

One of the wires is open when the car's off, ground when the car's on. That's the other side of the heater circuit.

That leaves the sensor signal wire. This one should look like an open circuit all the time.

thanks man.. ill test it out tonight... i got to thinking.... hasport might have used those odd colored wires just to extend the original wires in the harness....
