Default ECU not relearning idle

Ok long story short, I was away on vacation for a week and when I came back the battery was totally flat *doh*. Charged it up and went through normal ECU reset procedure, but it never finds it right. Normally when it hasn't completely learned idle it will bounce for a little while and then calm down after a while, but right now it's just bouncing constantly no matter how long you wait. I've reset it 4 times, following factory procedure, unplugging the negetive batt. lead, and once completely unplugging the ECU from the harness. I've let it run thru 2 fan cycles, for a full 15 minutes, and once for a whole 30 minutes but it makes no difference. On the most recent resets the idle will start bouncing almost immediatly (engine pre-warmed) and then slowly over a period of 15 minutes it will return to a completly stable but high (~900 instead of 750+-20) idle.

No CEL, O2 sensor is a year and a half old, IACV last competely cleaned out 1 year ago. I'm trying to get my hands on a spare ECU (which btw if anyone has an extra P05 their willing to send my way shoot me an Email or PM and let me know how much you want for it) But I'm wondering if anyone else has any different thoughts on the matter.

You may need to reset your idle. Try the following:
1. let car warm up until radiator fan turns off
2. turn off engine, disconnect iacv sensor
3. turn on engine, adjust idle screw to 600rpm
4. turn off engine, reconnect iacv sensor connector
5. turn off engine, reset ecu
6. turn on engine and let ecu calibrate (give it 7 min) , DO NOT STEP ON THE GAS
7. turn off engine
8. turn on engine, test drive.

Unplug the IACV and see what the idle does. I'm betting it's a vacuum leak somewhere, maybe FITV needs tightened.

Fast Idle Thermal Valve

I will try readjusting the idle when I get off work, I really hope it's not a vaccum leak, but maybe I'll check and replace all the vacc. lines anyway.

What you need to do is put your finger over the 2 holes before the two holes before the butterfly valve. I believe the top one goes to the IACV and if you cover that up the engine is supposed to sputter and die. If it's not, that means the intake is getting air from somewhere else=vacuum leak.
