Cruise Control Relocation after Steering Wheel install
I'm installing a new steering wheel in my car this Sunday and I need to know how I would go about rerouting the buttons on the wheel to the area behind the emergency brake. Any parts recommendations and tips would be appreciated.
Have you taken the buttons out yet? I am thinking there will only be two wires and the Computer sorts out whether you are pushing the button or holding it in. I think that all you would need is some 24 gauge wire and either new buttons or find a way to put the current ones in the center. I am assuming that your car has the punchouts on the center thing behind the E-brake?
If you are going to go with new switches then you will need momentary switches. They sell them at radio shack along with the wire. If you don't know a lot about electronics then you could go into Radio Shack and ask the guy "I need a Single Pole Single Throw, Momentary Switch" He/She sohuld be able to help you. If you want to go that route then IM me and I could tell you how to hook it up.
