Default Not revving past 5K!

I went out for a drive today and got into 3rd gear when i heard a bang noise and all of a sudden i couldn't go past 5,000rpms. Car is a 1998 Integra GSR with about 103K miles on it. 1st gear was fine, 2nd gear was fine, then in 3rd this happend.
After it happend, it was like that for everygear, even neutral. I couldnt rev past 5K.
I shut the car off then turned it back on and it was fine! Anyone have any idea or help?

Sounds like your timing got out of wack. My friends car did that once. We were driving and then BOOM a loud pop. After we got to his house we noticed that the header was ULTRA HOT! When we diagnosed it, the timing belt had jumped a couple of teeth and retarded the timing.
